We have been consultants and directors in salvage operations for more than 30 years. We have operated locally and abroad, at sea and in inland water, with stranded vessels, sinking vessels, damaged vessels, etc. In certain cases, we have developed novel techniques to achieve success. We can produce the documentation required by Coast Guard and/or Class.

Alnave, Akti, Anita; Refloating.

Three vessels went aground in Necochea area simultaneously. We refloated all three preserving the environment and without further damages to the vessels. The AKTI, a 20.000 DWT ocean going multipurpose general cargo vessel, stranded 22 M North East of Quequén, on hard bottom. All the bottom plating was severely damaged, 85 % of bottom tanks and Engine Room were open to the sea (some of them with HFO). The hard bottom interfered the freeing of the ship. We adapted a portable air compressor to blow large volumes of air, what kept her afloat until dry docking in Buenos Aires.

Alianza G4 – refloating by air blowing.

Alianza G4, a 37500 DWT ocean going barge, stranded on Costa Bonita beach, over hard bottom. All the bottom plating was severely damaged, 100% of bottom tanks were open to the sea. We adapted the vacuvators on board to blow large volumes of low pressure air, what kept her afloat until dry docking in Rio de Janeiro.

October Breeze – Temporary repairs.

This vessel suffered a mayor damage in her midship section. It could not be repaired locally for unavailability of special steel. We designed a temporary repair to take the vessel to DD in Singapore. To speed up the repairs and to keep the costs low, we mirror the structure to the external side of the vessel, in an exoskeleton concept. She arrived in Singapore in perfect condition.

Delta Queen – Refloating and investigation

This vessel fell when the hoisting gear failed while being loaded on a heavy lifter. We were hired to supervise the re-floating and hoisting operation and to investigate the cause of the casualty.
