Major conversions require a substantial engineering effort. In many cases, the design is more complex than that of a new building.

There is a tendency to improvise, what results in very expensive yard bills. We have developed the expertise to turn these type of works into successful commercial operation. We prepare complete and thorough drawing packages before the works kick-off.

Karinas Alianza G1, jumboizing

The aft end (machinery) of the Karinas was connected to the forward (cargo spaces) of the Alianza G1 in a mega jumboizing operation. We directed the works and participated in all the process, including the drafting of the very complex building contract.

Doña Magda – Inland waters container carrier.

This Rhin river vessel was structurally reinforced to operate in the Outer River Plate. Her transverse section modulus for about half her length, was augmented by fitting a box structure on deck. The works were carried out in Holland.

Galú

This Superyacht is being converted into a passenger vessel. Only the engine room and the bridge remain undisturbed. All other spaces have been stripped down, redesigned and rebuilt. The complete vessel was scanned for more precise drawings production. New equipment is being fitted, mainly to satisfy the passenger services. All remaining equipment has been overhauled.

Alianza G3

This 37500 DWT Ocean Going Barge, was converted from dry bulk carrier to lightning product carrier, being this the 2nd vessel to undergo such a conversion in the world.

  • Barge 358 – deck barge – into 300tn sheer Leg.

  • Alianza San Nicolás – Ocean going Tug – Jumboizing (feasibility).

  • Cape Size tanker – to FPSO (feasibility).

  • Cape Size tanker – to iron ore self unloader (feasibility).
